Single-handedly spearheading the coveted luxury sports watch genre, he also recognized the importance of popular taste and pop culture. Unleashing his playful side under his eponymous Gérald Genta brand, he produced a series of mechanical watches featuring beloved Disney characters, including the iconic Mickey Mouse.
-Following the wildly successful and nearly instantly sold-out Gérald Genta Arena Bi-Retrograde Smiling Mickey, Bulgari decided to release another retrograde wristwatch in 2022, this time depicting Mickey playing football.
-The present Arena Bi-Retrograde with Mickey playing football boasts an intriguing triple complication model with retrograde minutes, retrograde date, and jumping hours. Limited to just 200 pieces, this timepiece features a 41mm stainless steel Arena case with a rounded bezel, straight lugs, and a fluted caseband. The crown jewel, however, is the natural mother-of-pearl dial portraying Mickey Mouse raising his left leg in an impressively athletic bicycle kick.
