'The present Contagiri wristwatch underwent 4 years of research and development before it was introduced to the market. Much inspired from Giuliano Mazzuoli's experience as a racecar driver and his passion for the world of automobiles, the present watch features a revolutionary system to measure time. The dial, inspired from the tachymeter in a sports cars, features one hand that moves across the arc and retrograde indicating the hour. The band is fitted with a stow-away lever that acts like a gear shift and allows the user to wind the movement or set the time by turning the bezel. The small aperture at 6 o'clock marks the position of the gear with '1' indicating the position for winding the watch and '2' indicating the position for setting the time.'
