- Inspired by the breathtaking Genbi Valley in Japan, Grand Seiko has released a series of three manual-winding green dial limited editions, each limited to 140 pieces. The Genbi Valley is located within the Iwai River in Iwate Prefecture, known for its stunning natural beauty throughout the seasons - vibrant fall foliage, snowy winter landscapes, cherry blossoms in spring, and azalea blooms in summer.
- The dials of these limited editions pay homage to the Genbi Valley's natural splendor through the use of a traditional Japanese painting technique called Kirazuri, which translates to "sparkling painting". This technique results in a dial surface with a subtle yet dynamic glittering effect, giving the dials incredible depth and texture, a hallmark of Grand Seiko's exceptional dial craftsmanship.
- The present edition features a pure green tone that most closely represents the essence of the Genbi Valley. Complementing the dial, the case design is inspired by the iconic first Grand Seiko from 1960, including the box-shaped sapphire crystal that evokes the look of vintage plexiglass.
