- Laine, a Swiss-based independent brand, has caught the eye of many seasoned collectors with their exceptional artistry and attractive designs and customizations. Only founded in 2014, the brand has received much recognition including the A. Lange & Söhne's F.A. Lange Watchmaking Excellence Award in the same year. Trained in the same Finnish school of watchmaking as Stepan Sarpaneva and Kari Voutilainen, Torsti Laine is undoubtedly in some good company, and it shows in his creations.
- Striving to the create elegant timepieces for everyday wear, the Laine GG, short for Gelidus (frosted finish reminiscent of snow) and Guilloché, takes inspiration from 1940s and 50s with beautiful handmade dials.
- Cased in stainless steel and sized at 40.5mm in diameter, the present Laine GG grabs your attention immediately with its stunning purple full Flamme guilloché glory.
- While Laine offers various combinations of finishing to collectors, the present minimalistic choice of the markers at 3, 9 and 12 allows the waves of the Flamme guilloché to radiate to its fullest. Bouncing off to light with mesmerizing beauty, the decoration creates an illusion of a moving wave.
- The sapphire caseback invites the wearer to admire the striking LA18.1 Unitas 6498-1 based calibre with an oversize balance and pleasing mirror polished bridges. Observing under the loupe the screw and jewel sinks chamfers have also been polished by hand.
- Offered from the original owner, this vibrant Laine GG is offered with its original accessories.
