Good To Know:
- One of 10 pieces made as a subscription project
- Special Mosaic dial
- First flying tourbillon designed by the brand
The Ming Special Projects Cave is the experimental arm of the company curating small R&D projects. Developed as an exclusive subscription model under SPC, the Ming 20.09 Tourbillon was a special edition produced in only 10 pieces.
The first flying tourbillon produced by the brand, the model is cased in titanium and combines processes that Ming’s team has developed: Mosaic, HyCeram embedded sapphire, Sapphire crystal hands and bicolour bridges. The caseband features a skeletonized DLC titanium with a triangular pattern that gives the watch another layer of dimension.
Powered by the skeletonized execution of the Schwarz Etienne cal. TSE.M1 which reverses the movement so the barrel, micro-rotor, flying tourbillon and timekeeping hands are all visible from the dial side. Known for their playfulness on luminous design, the sapphire caseback glows with with the Ming Logo.
The 20.09 also features the brand’s first 22mm bracelet with curved ends and quick release pins that is incredibly user friendly. Accompanied of a set of 5 straps, the new owner can style the timepiece however they want with ease. With meticulous attention to small details, the wooden presentation box is also designed like a jigsaw puzzle enhancing the uniqueness of the project.
