完整圖錄內容
Like the Moon, the watch has another side that marks the first step of achievement. Encircled by the gold-plated legendary quote “THAT’S ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND” is the famous footprint black-coated engraved on the case back. Made to measure with ultimate comfort, the bracelet design is inspired by the vintage reference ST 105.012-65. An additional Velcro strap with black-coated cork is also available to be fashioned in alternative wear for the ultimate Speedy lover. The cork material was used during the Apollo 11 mission in the boost protective cover in order to absorb the heat of the launch to protect the crew.
Produced in a limited edition of 6,969 pieces, the present Moon watch offered by the original owner is numbered 852 like the Hong Kong area code and is presented in excellent condition and accompanied with its outstanding full set of accessories such as the Lunar Module display stand for any proud Speedy owner with this coveted Speedmaster.
Omega
Swiss | 1848Omega's rich history begins with its founder, Louis Brandt, who established the firm in 1848 in La Chaux de Fonds. In 1903, the company changed its name to Omega, becoming the only watch brand in history to have been named after one its own movements. A full-fledged manufacturer of highly accurate, affordable and reliable watches, its sterling reputation enabled them to be chosen as the first watch company to time the Olympic Games beginning in 1932. Its continued focus on precision and reliability ultimately led their Speedmaster chronograph wristwatch to be chosen by NASA in 1965 — the first watch worn on the moon.
Key models sought-after by collectors include their first, oversized water-resistant chronograph — the reference 2077, early Speedmaster models such as the CK 2915 and 2998, military-issued versions of the Seamaster and oversized chronometer models such as those fitted with their prestigious caliber 30T2Rg.
