圖錄文章
The present watch speaks to our inner child and invites us to a trip into outer space.

Launched in 2002, reference 5102 is a reinterpretation of the skychart originally found in the Skymoon Tourbillon.

The dial, which consists of different layers of sapphire represents the configuration of the stars in the northern hemisphere. An ellipse, printed on the underside of the sapphire glass with the cardinal points, frames the portion of the sky visible from Geneva and all other cities located at the same latitude.

The sky chart rotates as does the moon indication that not only displays the phases of the moon but also the latter’s position in the sky.

The front and back bezels are in platinum whereas the case centre is in pink gold beautifully engraved with the Calatrava cross.

The present Celestial, in unworn condition and complete with all accessories is an incredibly rare timepiece, of which less than 20 are known in this configuration, and the epitome of elegance and technical sophistication.

Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
