型號3974於1989年面世，十餘年的生產期間，各種材質合計發行僅約120枚，產量極為稀少。本次呈獻的黃金版本，錶殼上具有的「JHP」印記—出自當代傳奇大師Jean-Pierre Hagmann之手。一般而言，百達翡麗不會在時計中展示錶匠名字，因此這一印記的意義舉足輕重。不僅代表錶殼的質量超卓，更證明是錶匠Hagmann本人親手製作，而非交由學徒完成。至今為止，具「JHP」印記的型號3974黃金版本，資料顯示不超過30枚，十分重要罕有。
