- Paul Gerber is a highly respected independent watchmaker from Bern, Switzerland, who has been operating his own workshop in Zurich since 1976. As a member of the prestigious Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI), Gerber is recognized as one of the world's leading master watchmakers.
- Together with Franck Muller, Gerber's "Superbia Humanitatis" creation featured in the 2005 Guinness World Book of Records, is considered one of the most complicated wristwatches ever made, showcasing his exceptional technical prowess.
- The present Paul Gerber Twin Rotor timepiece, while minimalistic in its time-telling functions, is a testament to Gerber's unparalleled craftsmanship. This model features a modified Peseux caliber 700 base movement, boasting the world's first flyback retrograde seconds mechanism. The watch is furthered powered by a novel double oscillating system with twin platinum rotors, which can be admired through the sapphire caseback.
- The stepped case and lugs beautifully frame the clean, guilloché-patterned dial, which is enhanced by the refined slim blued leaf hands and blued Breguet-style numerals that fan out elegantly. The exceptional condition and barely worn state of this timepiece make it a rare find in the auction market.
- Please note that the proceeds of the sale of the present watch will be given by the Consignor to various charities.
