- Roger Dubuis established his own eponymous brand after initially starting his career at Longines and then followed by a long stint at Patek Philippe, specializing in the development of high complications, creating some of the finest movements with minute repeater and perpetual calendar. The Sympathie series was released in 1995, alongside the Hommage, as one of the first production lines from Roger Dubuis after the brand’s partnership with businessman Carlos Diaz.
- The present reference is housed in an elegant white gold case sculpted in the brand’s iconic curved square shape, and boasts the firm’s signature bi-retrograde day and date indications. The dial of the timepiece is adorned with a lavish combination of alternating dark and creamy mother-of-pearl with a yellow hue, matching the roulette red and black numbers on the week indication, and complementing the charismatic moon phases, gold hands and applied numerals.
- Powered by the in-house automatic calibre RD5710, the timepiece received certification as a chronometer from the Besançon Observatory in France and has been proudly granted with the Geneva Seal, stamped on the movement visible via the transparent case back.
- Preserved in excellent condition, this Roger Dubuis Sympathie Bi-Retrograde Perpetual Calendar is numbered 12 of a limited edition of 28 pieces, and is further accompanied by its full set of accessories.
