The Rolex Datejust ref. 16220 was first released in 1989 featuring the firm’s upgraded cal. 3135. Though its case size retains at 36mm diameter the design has evolved slightly from its previous models, though with that said, it is still quintessentially iconic as it was first introduced in the mid-1940s.
