Rolex’s Day-Date is an iconic collection, celebrated for its classic masculine case and groundbreaking use of precious materials for its dials. Launched in 1956, it was the first watch to display the day of the week spelled out in full. As the most prestigious collection in Rolex, the Day-Date is among the most universally recognized and cherished luxury watches, boasting a level of style, elegance, and desirability that few others can match.
The present Rolex Day-Date reference 18956BR is truly extraordinary. Adorned with diamonds, the immediate standout is the remarkable platinum Pearlmaster bracelet, commonly associated with the lavishly decorated Day-Date models. Unlike the standard President bracelet, the center links of this Pearlmaster are lavishly set with baguette-cut diamonds, exemplifying what a true luxury bracelet should be.
Equally impressive is the array of precious stones set on the case. The bezel is adorned with baguette-cut diamonds, while the dial is fully paved with blue enamel indexes, providing a striking contrast against the dazzling surface. This rare and extraordinary example showcases exquisite craftsmanship, highlighting Rolex’s expertise in gem setting.
The rarity of this watch cannot be overstated as such pieces are typically reserved for the most discerning clientele of Rolex. Offered with all its accessories and in superb condition, it represents a stunning iteration of Rolex’s most prestigious Day-Date, making it a true trophy timepiece for the discerning collector.

Rolex
Swiss | 1905Founded in 1905 England by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis as Wilsdorf & Davis, it soon became known as the Rolex Watch Company in 1915, moving its headquarters to Geneva in 1919. Like no other company, the success of the wristwatch can be attributed to many of Rolex's innovations that made them one of the most respected and well-known of all luxury brands. These innovations include their famous "Oyster" case — the world's first water resistant and dustproof watch case, invented in 1926 — and their "Perpetual" — the first reliable self-winding movement for wristwatches launched in 1933. They would form the foundation for Rolex's Datejust and Day-Date, respectively introduced in 1945 and 1956, but also importantly for their sports watches, such as the Explorer, Submariner and GMT-Master launched in the mid-1950s.One of its most famous models is the Cosmograph Daytona. Launched in 1963, these chronographs are without any doubt amongst the most iconic and coveted of all collectible wristwatches. Other key collectible models include their most complicated vintage watches, including references 8171 and 6062 with triple calendar and moon phase, "Jean Claude Killy" triple date chronograph models and the Submariner, including early "big-crown" models and military-issued variants.
