Dragon is arguably the most significant symbol of Oriental culture. Associated with emperors of China, it is an auspicious masculine symbol of ultimate power and luck. The mythical beast is known for its unique features --- antlers of a stag, head of a camel, eyes of a demon, neck of a snake, ears of a cow, scales of a carp, and claws of an eagle. Though the subject was exclusively reserved for ornaments and clothing for the Imperial family and ruling class in the past, contemporary jewels rejuvenate this traditional motif through chic and whimsical designs. This bold jewel with powerful angular lines would look equally stunning as a man’s signet ring or a lady’s cocktail ring.
