    I have been drawing in notebooks for at least 25 years, a habit, a ritual, a practice... In 1989 I began a series of trips to Iceland which led to a sculpture project on Videy Island, close to the harbor of Reykjavik... It so happened that I made more notebook drawings on this project than on most,... I filled dozens of notebooks with drawings of both the project in process and the project completed. The diverse sketchbook material became the basis for this series of prints. Richard Serra
