-The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Moon phase, ref 109.032, is an exquisite embodiment of the brand's dedication to traditional watchmaking and timeless elegance. Encased in luxurious 18K pink gold, this iconic timepiece features the distinctive off-center dial layout that has become synonymous with the Lange 1 collection. The dial is crafted from solid silver and adorned with an argenté finish, beautifully contrasting the gold appliques and hands. The moon phase complication, meticulously hand-painted, adds a poetic touch, accurately depicting the lunar cycle with remarkable precision.

-At the heart of this masterpiece is the in-house calibre L901.5, a manually wound movement showcasing A. Lange & Söhne’s signature three-quarter plate made of untreated German silver, blued screws, and a hand-engraved balance cock. This movement provides a power reserve of 72 hours, ensuring reliability and performance. The Lange 1 Moon phase 109.032 is not just a timepiece but a statement of refined taste and mechanical artistry, making it a prized possession for discerning collectors and connoisseurs of haute horlogerie.

  • Artist Biography

    A. Lange & Söhne

    German • 1845

Originally founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Dresden, Germany, the firm established an entire watchmaking culture and industry in Glashütte. The brand quickly became Germany's finest watchmaker, first creating dependable, easy-to-repair watches before going on to produce some of the world's finest complicated pocket watches, including Grande Sonnerie watches, tourbillon watches and Grande Complications.

On the final day of World War II, their factories were destroyed by Russian bombers, and in 1948 the brand was confiscated by the Soviet Union. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Ferdinand's great grandson Walter Lange re-established the brand with the objective to once again produce top-quality luxury watches. Now part of the Richemont Group, its original vintage and modern creations are highly coveted by collectors. Key models from the modern era include the Lange 1, Pour Le Mérite Tourbillon and the Zeitwerk.
