    The present lot is registered by the Fondation Alberto and Annette Giacometti in the online Alberto Giacometti Database (AGD) under the number 3622.

    Between 1966 and 1969, publisher Marc Barbezat, who founded Editions Barbezat, commissioned furniture and bronze lighting from Diego Giacometti for his apartment on Île Saint-Louis in Paris. The apartment was designed by the architect Pierre Barbe, who was also responsible for the postwar transformation of Villa Cavrois (designed by Robert Mallet-Stevens).
