    - In 2002, the storied Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet embarked on a fabled collaboration with Swiss billionaire businessman and philanthropist Ernesto Bertarelli, joining forces to support the competitive Alinghi sailing team in their quest for nautical glory. The bond was forged through a shared passion for the sea, and a united Swiss spirit of adventure. By 2003, Alinghi triumphantly claimed the prestigious Louis Vuitton Cup, skippered to victory by the talented Russell Coutts who masterfully navigated the waves. Audemars Piguet renewed their sponsorship, a winning alliance on water and on wrist.

    - To commemorate Alinghi's victory, Audemars Piguet crafted an ode to the pursuit - the Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Team Chronograph. Strictly limited to 2,007 pieces, of which 1,300 entirely in forged carbon, 600 in pink gold with forged carbon bezel and 107 examples in platinum with forged carbon bezel, it channels the energy of the open water with a forged carbon case. The mint engraving depicts Alinghi yachtsmen on an intrepid sail, the model name crisply etched in tribute.

    - Number 22 of only 107 examples in platinum with forged carbon bezel, the present timepiece preserved in excellent condtion is a victorious trophy for any distinguished collection. With Audemars Piguet's passion for fine watchmaking, and Alinghi's champion spirit, this timepiece encapsulates the thrill of competitive sailing and the glory of the conquest. More than a watch, it is a triumphant celebration of kindred hearts and like minds in the shared adventure of the open sea.
