- Blancpain's latest tribute to the iconic Fifty Fathoms line comes in the form of the "Act 3" model, released 70 years after the original 1953 debut. While the first two "Acts" reinterpreted the classic design, the Act 3 pays direct homage to the most sought-after MIL-SPEC Fifty Fathoms, featuring the same 41.3mm case diameter.
- The standout feature of this Act 3 model is its 9K bronze gold case, a patented alloy containing 37.5% gold and 50% copper, giving it a distinctive vintage appearance. The matte black dial proudly displays the original "Blancpain" and "Fifty-Fathoms" fonts, complemented by vintage-styled Super-LumiNova lume and the iconic moisture indicator – a critical feature developed for the original MIL-SPEC variant.
- Presented in "like-new" condition, this limited edition of only 555 pieces has never been worn. The watch comes complete with a specially designed box inspired by historic underwater camera housings, reflecting the parallel advancements in underwater photography and timekeeping during that era.
As the watchmaking brand with the earliest founding date, Blancpain remains close to tradition, concentrating on classical mechanical watches. Established in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, the Le Brassus manufacturer today continues to innovate with the development of high-quality calibres and is proud of their heritage, having never made quartz watches. One of the firm's greatest successes was the Fifty Fathom wristwatch introduced in 1953 — the vintage models of which are now highly coveted by collectors. The earliest dive watch available to the market, Fifty Fathom came out a year prior to Rolex's Submariner. Another key model is the Air Command from the 1960s, considered one of the most mythical collector's watches due to their extreme rarity. Today, the firm specializes in creative innovated complicated timepieces.
