  • Catalogue Essay

As one of watchmaking's most brilliant creatives, Daniel Roth revolutionized horology during his storied career. After elevating Breguet to new heights in the 1970s, he founded his eponymous atelier to fully realize his vision.

Unveiled at Baselworld 2007 in a limited edition of 50 pieces, this Tourbillon Lumière exemplifies Roth's mastery of skeletonization and delicate decoration. Within the elliptical pink gold case lies an incredibly thin openworked in-house manual winding movement, showcasing finishing of the highest order.

A satin-brushed bezel ring marked with diamond-polished dots integrates seamlessly into the skeletonized dial, its delicate markings the only adornment necessary. The striking blued steel serpentine shaped hands adds legibility. As one of the thinnest tourbillon wristwatches one can find, no surface or angle escapes Roth's artful attention - a study in horological excellence.

Complete with its certificate and presentation box, the present example is one of the most dazzling and rare skeletonized creations from Daniel Roth.
