- For Denis Flageollet, the co-founder of De Bethune as well as its master watchmaker, innovation is the guiding principle of watchmaking. Since its inception in 2002, De Bethune has given birth to over thirty in-house calibers and a dozen patent registrations, constantly debuting new and exciting innovations.
- The DB22 was launched in 2007 and represented a first dip of the proverbial toe, in the waters of a more sports oriented design, the case featuring strong silhouette and angles. Powered by the calibre 2024 with a total of 289 components, energy can be harnessed by a titanium and platinum oscillating weight to guarantee optimal lightness. Additionally, the movement features a patented triple pare-chute shock absorbing system with titanium bridge and ultralight balance wheel providing for a high degree of shock resistance.
- The present DB22WS3 is from a limited edition of 50 pieces. Engraved behind the spinning rotor under the sapphire caseback, the present DB22 is numbered 2 of the limited edition. Furthermore it is accompanied by its certificate and De Bethune wooden box from early generations of the brand.
