Bastian Bischoff and Per Emanuelsson met in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2007 while attending hdk’s (School for Design & Craft) mfa program for design. Per, a former student of mechanical engineering, found a kindred spirit in Bastian and, upon completion of the program, decided to collaborate under the name Humans Since 1982.
Clock Clock is composed of 24 analogue clocks stacked so that the movements of the hands align to communicate the time digitally. Though the digital analogue format is impressive, it’s the choreography that takes place between the minutes that is the real stunner.

Humans Since 1982 spent over a year and half developing the analogue to digital language that the Clock Clock employs. This prototype was exhibited in 2009 at the Röhsska Design Museum, Gothenburg.
