The ethereal Wandering presents a hybrid use of the lampworking technique, with its anatomically accurate but still powerfully expressive composition. The figural elements recall some of Hodge's most enduring themes: spiderwebs and flowering branches, suspended and abstracted from their natural context. Another example from the Wandering series is in the collection of the Tang Teaching Museum at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York.
