Michael Kagan - 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale Hong Kong Tuesday, June 21, 2022 | Phillips
  • “The whole reason I know about the history of astronauts is because my Dad taught me growing up. He taught be about the history of NASA, he took me to space camp. Going to space is cool, it’s awesome! The idea behind why I paint astronauts is a couple of reasons: I like the imagery, I know a lot about it.. For moments I want to paint, I feel like before I get too excited about it, I have to know the history behind [the subject], to make sure that its worthy of being painted.”
