"The title refers to the movie ‘Poltergeist’ and the sculpture specifically is a detail in a scene from the movie, but an important detail I think. The detail it relates to is a moment in the kitchen in this haunted house in the suburbs in California somewhere. Everything seems normal and then one day in the kitchen Mom turns around and finds all the kitchen furniture rearranged, in literally the blink of an eye, into this baroque configuration." - Paul Pfeiffer
