PHILLIPS APPOINTS BART VAN SON AS INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DIRECTOR, CONTEMPORARY ART

LONDON – 2 JUNE 2015 – Phillips is pleased to announce the appointment of Bart van Son as International Business Director, Contemporary Art. Based in London, Bart will support the business strategy and growth of the Contemporary Art Department on a global basis.

Bart joins Phillips with over 25 years’ experience in the art world, most recently as Director and Chief Operating Officer at Gurr Johns. Before joining Gurr Johns in 2013, Bart held the position of European Business Director of Post War and Contemporary Art at Christie’s, having started his career in the Operations Department of Sotheby’s in Amsterdam.
