PHILLIPS PRESENTS HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE NEW NOW AUCTION IN APRIL IN LONDON

FEATURING WORKS BY ALIGHIERO BOETTI, LATIFA ECHAKHCH, KAWS, PETRA CORTRIGHT, BARBARA KRUGER, GEORGE CONDO, ELLA KRUGLYANSKAYA, KORAKRIT ARUNANONDCHAI, RICHARD PRINCE, CHIHARU SHIOTA AND BERNARD FRIZE.

LONDON – 16 MARCH 2016 – Phillips is pleased to announce the New Now auction which will be on view at 30 Berkeley Square from 7 April and will take place on Wednesday, 13 April at 2pm. Offering 253 works of art by both established and emerging contemporary artists, and with estimates from under £5,000, the auction presents accessible opportunities for collectors and is expected to realise from £2 million to £2.9 million.

Tamila Kerimova, Head of the New Now Sale: “After a successful launch last December, it is a pleasure to be staging the second New Now auction in London. The sale features a selection of both young and more established artists, led by highly desired artists of today: Ella Kruglyanskaya, Latifa Echakhch, Perta Cortright, and Korakrit Arunandonchai, in dialogue with such heavyweights as Alighiero Boetti, Barbara Kruger, Damien Hirst, Richard Prince and George Condo, among others. KAWS' shaped canvas graces the cover of the catalogue, coinciding with the artist's wonderful show at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park that opened in February and runs until June. I am particularly happy to be offering Chiharu Shiota's ‘Dress’ from 2011, after the great reception last year of her beautiful installation ‘The Key in Hand’ at the Japanese Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Notably, the proceeds from two lots in the sale will be donated to charity - Damien Hirst's Spin Drawing is being sold to benefit the Women's Equality Party and Vik Muniz's photograph to benefit the Bottletop Foundation. “
