Alec Soth’s Charles, Vasa, Minnesota, achieved $152,400 against an estimate of $50,000-70,000, setting a new world auction record for the artist, and Harry Callahan’s Eleanor/Silhouette (Chicago), realized $76,200, over three times its low estimate.
