Phillips’ Hong Kong Jewels Auction Realises HK$27 Million/ US$3.4 Million
Auctioneer Benoît Repellin selling lot 579, a 1.63 Carat Fancy Intense Blue Diamond Ring

Benoît Repellin, Worldwide Head of Jewellery, and Louisa Chan, Head of Sale, Hong Kong, Phillips Jewels, said, “The Hong Kong Jewels Auction this season reaffirmed the strength of the market for rare and important coloured diamonds across the board, with top three pieces sold were coloured diamonds. The sale was led by a 1.63 carat fancy intense blue diamond ring, which fetched HK$7.4 million/ US$942,848. A pair of 9.69 and 9.71 carat fancy intense yellow diamond and diamond earrings also performed well, sold for HK$4.2 million/ US$536,448, In addition, a 5.41 carat fancy orangy pink diamond and diamond ring soared to HK$3.3 million/ US$422,652. The sale also seen a strong online bidding activity, with 35% of lots sold to online bidders. The inaugural jewellery auction in Geneva will be held on 6 November, and we look forward to welcoming Asian collectors to our previews in Taipei and Singapore in the next two weeks.”
