Phillips Names Kirsten MacDonald as
Regional Director for Scandinavia
Appointment Continues Significant Expansion Across Europe
DENMARK – 04 NOVEMBER 2019 – Phillips is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirsten MacDonald as Regional Director for Scandinavia, based in Copenhagen. This important hire continues Phillips’ expansion across Europe and efforts in building a commanding presence in the Scandinavian marketplace as the leading global auction house for 20th and 21st century art and design.

Ms. MacDonald has a deep understanding of the auction business after recently serving as Head of Sales & Shipping for Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers (BRA) in Copenhagen. Prior to this she held the position as the US Representative for BRA in New York, significantly expanding the international client database for the auction house. Before embarking on her career in the art world, Ms. MacDonald worked for the global shipping company Maersk Line, latterly as Head of Communications and Branding.
With extensive client relationships across Scandinavia, Ms. MacDonald will support all departments looking to source and sell to this exciting and ever-growing market for Phillips. There is an increasing appetite to invest in art and design amongst Scandinavian buyers, and Phillips is well placed to established itself in this region. Ms. MacDonald will work to increase audience cultivation across Scandinavia through Phillips’ dynamic array of sales, partnerships, exhibitions, specialists and discursive programmes.
