Phillips is pleased to present the site-specific installation Clockwork for Oracles, along with a selection of recent works that explore the shape-shifting capacities of Ugo Rondinone, a major artist of the 21st century.

The 52 windows on display correspond to the number of weeks in the year. Under a cheerful atmosphere—emphasized by the superposition of shiny colors—lies a melancholic undertone, the work addressing the inexorable passing of time. Each window acts simultaneously as a mirror to the viewer and a magnifying glass of his or her society. Time's passing and personal reflection engage with the broader theme of mortality, both individually and as a current geopolitical status, insisting on the idea of finitude.

Phillips would like to extend gratitude to Ugo Rondinone and Rondinone studio.
