Of oval shape with contoured sides, the hinged lid applied with a monogram surmounted by a royal crown, set with circular-cut diamonds, accented with diamond-set foliage and ornately decorated with scrolling motifs, the reverse and sides engraved in floral and foliate scrollwork, measuring approximately 99 x 75mm, numbered, probably Hanau.
