Good To Know:
- Tourbillon
- Production of only 50 pieces per year
- First model to come to an international auction
- Bought in December 2025 and still under warranty
The tourbillon was not only Daniel Roth’s very first model, launched in the late 1980s when he established his eponymous brand, but also the first model released following the rebirth of the brand under the new LVMH/La Fabrique du Temps management.
Following the success of the original 20-piece yellow gold souscription model launched in 2023, Daniel Roth shortly thereafter presented the pink gold version. While not a limited edition per se, Daniel Roth announced that no more than 50 pieces would be produced each year.
Housing the in-house tourbillon caliber DR001, developed entirely by La Fabrique du Temps, it is the very first fully in-house Daniel Roth movement and is beautifully finished with black-polished components, interior angles, and a finely crafted winding click.
Taking all cues from Daniel Roth’s designs on the front side, the large tourbillon escapement takes center stage, featuring an original triple-arm seconds hand with three hands of different lengths that indicate the seconds on three separate registers, each calibrated for 20 seconds.
To the best of our research, this is the very first Tourbillon by Daniel Roth to be offered at an international auction house.
