When François-Paul Journe unveiled his first timepiece, the Tourbillon Souverain in 1999, he established a new benchmark for craftsmanship and precision chronometry. Since then, the Journe brand has become a global phenomenon, attracting passionate collectors who seek his limited-production timepieces for their classic designs and innovative mechanisms.

Following his inaugural creation, Journe introduced the Chronomètre à Résonance and the Octa models, with the Octa Réserve de Marche being the brand's first self-winding wristwatch. Produced from 2001 to 2014, early Octa Réserve de Marche models were equipped with the brass caliber 1300, transitioning to more luxurious 18K pink gold movements in 2004. The early models featured a 38mm diameter case, while a larger 40mm diameter version was launched in 2003.

The Octa Réserve de Marche showcases Journe’s signature elements that collectors have come to cherish, including an offset time indication on the right, a power reserve indicator and a large date display.
