Catalogue Essay
• While Franck Muller was gaining mainstream recognition in the 1990s, the brand quietly introduced a series of exceptionally refined chronographs that captured the attention of serious collectors. For many enthusiasts, these models represent the most compelling and collectible side of Franck Muller. This elegant chronograph design continued into the 2000s under the aptly named “Round” collection, notably with reference 7000 CC.
• The reference 7000 CC S 45 takes that legacy a step further with a more avant-garde approach. It features a silver dial adorned with a “snail” tachymeter scale and a concentric circular pattern. A glossy black ring displays luminous Arabic numerals, while a telemeter scale is printed on the outer silver ring. The most eye-catching elements are the chronograph registers: a 45-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, both adding visual balance and functional depth.
• Inside the 18K white gold case, beneath a snap-on caseback, lies the iconic FM7000 calibre, complete with a signed platinum rotor. Paired with a black crocodile strap, the present example is offered in excellent condition. The beautiful patina of the caseband on the right side adds a subtle historical charm, making it a truly appealing piece for collectors.
