One hanger signed, titled and dated '1920-1964' and numbered 'E/A I/III' in black ink (an artist’s proof, the edition was 10 and two additional examples painted in white, there was also an edition of 15 published in 1961 by the Moderna Museet, Stockholm), published in 1964 by Galleria Schwarz, Milan, the lithograph signed with initials and numbered 'E.A. I/II' in pencil (Schwarz calls for 6 artist's proofs, the edition was 10), co-published by Editions Galerie des IV Mouvements and Galleria Arturo Schwarz, Paris and Milan, the lithograph framed.
Andrew Strauss and Timothy Baum of the Man Ray Expertise Committee have confirmed the authenticity of this work under reference 00610-O-2025 and that the edition of this work will be included in the Catalogue of Objects and Sculpture of Man Ray, currently in preparation.
