Catalogue Essay
The copies on Bristol paper were normally issued in a blue cloth binding with blue endpapers; this copy is in a black cloth binding with black endpapers, which was used for the 50 signed copies on Holland Van Gelder Zonen. A copy in a similar variant binding is recorded by Minkoff, who describes it as 'in a remaindered Holland Van Gelder Zonen binding'.
