- A brand with a rich heritage, Nivada was born in 1926 in Grenchen, Switzerland, and quickly amassed a budding reputation for purpose-built tool watches that would stand by their wearers, come rain or shine. Unfortunately, like many watch manufactures, Nivada Grenchen was a victim of the Quartz Crisis in the 1970s. It wasn't until recently, in 2020, that a plan to revive the company was finally unveiled.
- The present Chronomaster Exotic Reverse Panda is a spitting image of its original from 1966, boasting a distinct two-toned “exotic” dial with the squared match-stick indexes that excites any enthusiasts of vintage timepieces. fitted in a 38mm stainless steel case, this watch is powered by a new-old-stock Valjoux 23 chronograph movement, making it the resurrection of its predecessor. Produced between 1916 and 1974, yes—a fierce sixty-year run, the Valjoux 23 VZ is known as one of the most robust and highly recognised chronograph calibers designed by the Swiss. This is an incredibly reliable and accurate classic column wheel chronograph movement that is as handsome as it is technically sound. This watch is further delivered with an additional sapphire caseback that allows the wearer to admire its inner workings hidden behind the dial.
