Catalogue Essay
The reference 570, was Patek Philippe’s first oversized Calatrava model, housed in a large case measuring 35mm in diameter, earning the nickname “Grande Calatrava”. The production for the reference 570 lasted for over 34 years from 1938 until 1972. Compared with the firms initial and iconic Calatrava model ref. 96, the 570 carries a much more suitable size in today’s standards, giving this reference a timeless status.

Produced in 1965, this present example houses the caliber 27 S C, which is witnessed in second series examples. The present example is presented in very good overall condition and still bearing its beautiful crisp case proportions.
