Catalogue Essay
The Patek Philippe ref. 3919 is most revered for its “Clous de Paris” hobnail pattern bezel that elegantly frames its time-only dial. Featuring an Atelier Réunis case, the model was delivered in variants of yellow gold, pink gold and white gold. During its successful production run between 1985 and 2006, three series of this reference were realised.

The present example is a yellow gold ref. 3919 from circa 2006, which implies it is one of the last batches of the production. Boasting a lean profile and robust calibre, it is also fitted with a grey dial with small seconds and is complemented by Roman numerals.

According to our research, only a handful of ref. 3919J-016 are known in the market. Fresh-to-the-market and offered in single-factory-sealed condition along with its Certificate of Origin, the current Calatrava ref. 3919 is an exquisite gentlemen’s favourite that speaks highly with suavity and sophistication.
