Yves Klein published this journal upon the occasion of the Festival d'Art d'Avant-Garde in Paris where it was displayed on newstands for one day. Harry Shunk's famous photomontage of Klein's Leap into the Void is reproduced on the front page above the fold, with the headline “Un homme dans l'espace! Le peintre de l'espace se jette dans le vide” (A Man in Space! The Painter of Space throws himself into the void). Inside, Klein expounds on his other preoccupations: color theory, immateriality, judo, space and emptiness.
