Launched in 1989 to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Patek Philippe, the ref. 3960 was part of the commemorative series that also introduced the legendary cal. 89. Conceived as a limited edition, the reference was produced in 2,000 examples in yellow gold, 150 in white gold, and just 50 in platinum. Among these, the ref. 3960 quickly emerged as one of the most sought‑after models of the commemorative collection.
Encased in a charming 33mm officer‑style case, the watch is distinguished by its hinged back, delicately engraved with the firm’s commemorative dates. The white lacquer dial, enriched with elegant Breguet numerals, enhances the piece with a timeless harmony befitting its celebratory spirit.
