all signed and dated `1962' and numbered 17/37 (blue), 13/35 (yellow) and 13/36 (red) in pencil (there were also a few artist's proofs for each), printed by Robert Blackburn, published by Universal Limited Art Editions, West Islip, New York (with their blindstamp), all in very good condition, all framed.

Rauschenberg always maintained that the world provides him with an endless stream of images. His close friend Jasper Johns generally made prints that are variations on his familiar repertory of images. Rauschenberg's Stunt Man series is one of the few occasions in which Rauschenberg reused imagery in a manner usually associated with his friend: All of the images in Stunt Man II appear in earlier prints; Stunt Man I and III are nearly as cross-referential.
