Spring

Pastels, flowers and new beginnings.

Lot 12: Bulgari, A Set of Gem-set and Diamond ‘Allegra’ Jewelry (Estimate: HK$32,000-48,000)

The brilliant colors of this Bulgari ring and earring set will accentuate any spring outfit. The design is emblematic of the luxury house’s playful experimentation with multi-colored gemstones and generous use of cabochons. As Andy Warhol once said, “For me, calling at Bulgari’s shop is like visiting the best exhibition of contemporary art.”

Lot 17: Rolex, Ref. 124300, Oyster Perpetual 41 ‘Turquoise Blue’ (Estimate: HK$80,000-160,000)

With the recent demand for “Tiffany blue” timepieces, this Rolex Oyster Perpetual, with its distinct turquoise blue dial, will be a striking addition to any collection. The present example comes from a series of Oyster Perpetual models that Rolex released in 2020 fitted with a range of dial colors, including yellow, blue, green, coral and pink. The series was a smashing success, winning over watch enthusiasts the world over.

Lot 45: Huang Benrei, In the Name of the Flower (Estimate: HK$400,000-600,000)

The furry protagonist of Huang Benrei’s works is an expressionless rabbit named Nini who is able to convey a diverse range of emotions through his eyes and mouth alone. Why bunnies? “Why not bunnies,” the artist has said. “The rabbit has a fragile appearance and few expressions on his face. You sympathize with him and therefore identify with him and let him lead you into his world.”

Clockwise from left: A Colored Diamond and Diamond Earrings and Bracelet Set; Rolex, Ref. 116655, Yacht-Master; Matt Gondek, Untitled (Deconstructed Goku and Vegeta)

Summer

Hot, hot fun under the sun.

Lot 18: Matt Gondek, Untitled (Deconstructed Goku and Vegeta) (Estimate: HK$120,000-180,000)

Matt Gondek, a self-described “deconstructive pop artist,” is known for his explosive reinterpretations of classic childhood icons. From a melting Mickey Mouse to disintegrating Spongebob, the characters are reimagined as discombobulated figures, often with their innards exposed. “I think people just like to see things destroyed,” the Los Angeles-based artist once said.

Lots 43 & 44: A Colored Diamond and Diamond Earrings and Bracelet Set (Earrings Estimate: HK$100,000-150,000; Bracelet Estimate: HK$350,000-450,000)

With over 70 carats of variously cut yellow diamonds, this vibrant earring and bracelet set radiates energy. Enhanced by brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling over 5 carats, and 18k gold and white gold, this set makes for a flashy complement at rooftop happy hours and a night on the town.

Lot 50: Rolex, Ref. 116655, Yacht-Master (Estimate: HK$120,000-200,000)

Inspired by the rich heritage of sailing, the Rolex Yacht-Master brings together the finest technology to create a robust timepiece worthy of the dynamic sport. Featuring the warmth of 18k Everrose gold paired with an Oysterflex bracelet and an intense matt black dial with a matching black Cerachrom, this Ref. 116655 is ideal for water sports on your next weekend adventure.

Clockwise from left: Hikari Shimoda, The Whereabouts of God 30; A. Lange & Söhne, Ref. 363.179, Odysseus; A Pair of Fancy Intense Yellow Diamond Earrings

Fall

Crisp air, glorious colors and Halloween haunts.

Lot 11: Hikari Shimoda, The Whereabouts of God 30 (Estimate: HK$80,000-120,000)

This haunting piece is the brainchild of Hikari Shimoda, who draws inspiration from the Japanese manga and anime of her youth. In particular, the artist is strongly influenced by Hayao Miyazaki, the internationally acclaimed animator behind Studio Ghibli. Shimoda’s universe is at once disarmingly adorable and terrifying, with starry-eyed children adopting heroic costumes evocative of Superman and Sailor Moon.

Lot 15: A. Lange & Söhne, Ref. 363.179, Odysseus (Estimate: HK$195,000-350,000)

In 2019, the German watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne released its very first sports watch, the Odysseus, named after the hero from Greek mythology. The classic round-shaped case is accessorized with faceted lugs, bold crown guards and an innovative integrated bracelet specific to the Odysseus. With scarce production and availability in the market, the Odysseus has become one of the hottest watches by the firm.

Lot 98: A Pair of Fancy Intense Yellow Diamond Earrings (Estimate: HK$330,000-500,000)

With autumn comes cooler weather and fall foliage. These diamond earrings, with two cushion-shaped fancy intense yellow diamonds totaling more than 4 carats, evoke the brilliant reds, oranges and yellows that dot the landscape during this time of year.

Clockwise from left: Louis Vuitton x Supreme, Monogram Malle Courrier Trunk 90 (Red); Patek Philippe, Ref. 3710/1A-001; A Pear-Shaped Diamond Ring

Winter

Classic designs and holiday gift ideas.

Lot 4: Patek Philippe, Ref. 3710/1A-001 (Estimate: HK$500,000-800,000)

With a design inspired by the robust proportions of maritime portholes, the Nautilus is undoubtedly one of the most iconic watch references that Patek Philippe has ever produced. The present Ref. 3710 was in production from 1998 to 2005 and the first to include the display of the power reserve below the 12 o’clock hour marker. Paired with black attire, the watch brand’s signature sits at an unusual 6 o’clock position with applied luminous Roman numerals, giving the model extra personality.

Lot 47, Louis Vuitton x Supreme, Monogram Malle Courrier Trunk 90 (Red) (Estimate: HK$480,000-800,000)

Louis Vuitton and Supreme surprised the fashion world when they released their collaboration in 2017, not less because the luxury house had issued a cease and desist letter to the streetwear brand years earlier for emblazoning skateboards with the LV monogram. It seems all is well with both brands as the Louis Vuitton x Supreme collection flew off shelves on the week of its debut. This trunk was acquired from the Louis Vuitton Boutique in Hong Kong and comes with the original labels, keys and lock.

Lot 59: A Pear-Shaped Diamond Ring (Estimate: HK$1,400,000-1,800,000)

Clear as ice, this pear-shaped diamond boasts a spectacular E color, internally flawless clarity and excellent polish. This exceptional stone sits atop a ring made with 18K white gold. The perfect addition to a formal evening outfit.
