  • Come and experience Audemars Piguet’s heritage, craftsmanship and connection to the world in this exclusive day-long experience at the brand new Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus, Switzerland.

Audemars Piguet is the oldest fine watchmaking manufacturer still in the hands of its founding families. Since 1875, the company has written some of the finest chapters in the history of haute horlogerie.

In the morning, the winning bidder will be given a tour of the new museum by Olivier Audemars, the great grandson of Edward August Piguet, the co-founder of Audemars Piguet. The tour will include access to the restoration workshop, where the winning bidder will be able to learn about the restoration of antique watches from a master watchmaker. Following an intimate lunch with Olivier, the winning bidder can try their hand at watchmaking in a ‘masterclass’ focusing on assembly of parts and high-end decoration.  Champagne and afternoon tea will be served before a final exclusive view of the Audemars Piguet watch collection in their showroom.

This experience is perfect for anyone with an interest in watches or contemporary architecture. Designed by award-winning Danish architect’s Bjarke Ingels’ firm BIG, the brand new museum is a sensational spiral-shaped glass pavilion set within the Swiss landscape to complement the company’s oldest buildings, where Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet set-up their first watch-making workshop in 1875. This low-profile form of the new structure, while giving a route through the museum, also references the hairspring – the coil that delivers constant energy – in mechanical watches.

Private, luxury transportation between Geneva and Le Bassus is included.

    The winning bidder will receive:
    •  An exclusive, once in a lifetime tour of the new Audemars Piguet Museum by Olivier Audemars, the great grandson of Edward Auguste Piguet, co-founder of Audemars Piguet
    •  Lunch at the Audemars Piguet Museum with Olivier Audemars
    •  Champagne cocktail and afternoon tea
    •  Access to the Audemars Piguet collection

    •  A unique watch-making masterclass
    •  Private chauffeur from Geneva to the Audemars Piguet Museum, Le Brassus

Terms and conditions: This experience is for the winning bidder and three guests, redeemable for 12 months between April 2021 and April 2022. Cost of any transportation and accommodation to Audemars Piguet museum and the region is not included. The timing of the visit will be at a mutually convenient time, Covid-dependent, and arrangements will be made through Whitechapel Gallery.
