In this watercolour painting, Alex Leong (b. 1969, Malaysia) adeptly captures a vibrant scene of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The precise brushwork and elegant details bring to life the beautiful spirit of families enjoying their time together, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Leong has risen in prominence among collectors in recent years. His works, especially watercolour compositions of famous street scenes in Malaysia, are sought after at various local art auction houses. He has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions locally and abroad, including in China, Indonesia, Singapore and Korea.
