- Featuring a subsidiary dial at 6 for a second time zone, a date, and a power reserve indication, ref. 25754 is one of the most mechanically unusual Audemars Piguet wristwatches from the 1990s. The dial - featuring a "broken symmetry" thanks to the fan-shaped power reserve - is equally out of the ordinary, making this watch one of the most intriguing AP propositions of the late 20th century.

- The model appears to be extremely elusive, with no immediate results at any of the major auction houses except for one piece with black dial sold by Phillips in 2022.

- The present example features an incredibly attractive blue lapis lazuli dial. The deep indigo tonality of the stone with interspersed subtle gold flakes creates an immensely captivating contrast with the icy diamond-set platinum case.

- As a final touch for the most demanding collectors, the watch is offered together with its original warranty booklet date d1997 and stamped by Hong Kong retailer Carlson Watch.

A specialist in the manufacture of complications since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. This Le Brassus-based Swiss manufacturer is one of only two major manufacturers still owned by the founding family. Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972. Other key models include early minute repeating wristwatches, vintage chronograph wristwatches, such as the oversized reference 5020, perpetual calendar watches and the Royal Oak Offshore, first introduced in 1993.
