    - In 2003, Audemars Piguet teamed up with renowned actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to create a watch to commemorate his reprisal of the role of the Terminator in Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines. The result was the Royal Oak Offshore T3, a bold and brash iteration of Audemars Piguet’s iconic sports watch.

    - The Royal Oak Offshore T3 embodied the masculine and muscular physique of the Terminator cyborg, with its imposing 48.5 mm case in titanium. The bezel features anodized aluminum inserts in gunmetal gray and the watch is fitted with a rugged “Kevlar” strap, reinforcing its tough and utilitarian image. At the same time, the watch retained the exquisite finishing and detail that Audemars Piguet is known for, including its signature Tapisserie guilloche dial.

    - Limited to 1,000 pieces, the Royal Oak Offshore T3 was an instant hit and helped propel the success of the maison’s Offshore line. The Schwarzenegger collaboration also elevated the prestige of Audemars Piguet in popular culture and introduced the brand to new audiences. Today, it remains an iconic and coveted timepiece for collectors of both Audemars Piguet watches and Arnold Schwarzenegger memorabilia. Overall, the Royal Oak Offshore T3 represented the perfect fusion of precision watchmaking, cinematic fame and masculine style.

    - Presented in attractive overall condition, the present example is a triumph of form and function, as bold and memorable as the movie character that inspired it. Nearly two decades after its release, it still represents the rise of an iconic collaboration and an important moment in Audemars Piguet’s heritage.
