This work is one of two prototypes constructed by Man Ray before the later edition executed by Studio Marconi in 1970, distinguishable by the colour of the plastic tubing.
1961 Multiple comprised of plastic hose pipe, wooden test tube stand, and 12 glass marbles. 21.5 x 22 x 7.5 cm (8 1/2 x 8 5/8 x 2 7/8 in.) Signed, titled, dated and numbered '(No 1-59)' in black marker on the underside, the second prototype of two (the edition was 10, executed in 1970).
