  • Catalogue Essay

Regarded as one of the most popular watch brands in the early 2000’s, Roger Dubuis timepieces are executed to highest standards. Founded by the man himself, Roger Dubuis started his career in the industry in the 1950’s having worked for manufacturers in the likes of Longines and Patek Philippe.

The new millennium was an important era for Roger Dubuis as most of his acclaimed timepieces were manufactured “Pre-Richemont” acquisition. One of the most notable was the introduction of the bi-retrograde calendar wristwatch, which was initially developed with Mr. Jean-Marc Wiedderecht for Harry Winston in 1989.

In 2000, the Much More was released as a series of rectangular-shaped timepieces with various complications. One of them is the limited edition single-button chronograph ref. M32 28 0. With tremendous expertise in chronograph timepieces, having worked for both Longines and Patek Philippe, Dubuis’ chronograph timepieces can only be deemed as elegant. Featured inside the rectangular case is a beautiful ivory white dial with “espresso-colored” numerals paired harmoniously with oversized blued steel hands. Released as a limited edition of 28 pieces in 18K white gold and pink gold, the present example in white is presented in attractive overall condition and is further accompanied by the full set of accessories even including the Bulletin de Marche certification confirming that the present caliber is up to Bulletin D’Observatoire standards.
