Vacheron Constantin’s reference 6782, also known as Turnograph amongst collectors, is one of the rarest models in the firm’s 1960-70s productions.Reference 6782 features calibre 1072 automatic movement and a date aperture at 3 o’clock along with the iconic rotating bezel. Most examples are cased in yellow gold and only two examples in white gold are known to date, bearing consecutive numbers (for one of the two examples in white gold, see the next lot).It is amazing to see the incredibly crisp condition of the beautifully milled rotatable bezel that even retains the original red lacquer triangle. The champagne dial with applied gold batons is in fantastic condition, as is the case with extremely sharp lines and definition. This watch has been treated with absolute care throughout its life, still retaining its original certificate, box and original strap.
